What is Marijuana? 

Marijuana is a mind-altering (psychoactive) drug, produced by the Cannabis sativa plant. Marijuana contains over
480 constituents. THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) is believed to be the main ingredient that produces the
psychoactive effect.

How is it Used?

Marijuana can be inhaled by smoking or vaporizing the flower as well as ingested. "Edibles" is the common term used to describe Marijuana, or THC, that is ingested. It can also be applied topically in some forms.

What Does it Look Like?

Marijuana is a green plant that looks tree like in appearance. The budding flower which contains the majority of THC can vary from bright green to shades of purple, sticky to the touch, and is often dried and grinded before use. THC extract, or oils, can range in viscosity being liquid or solid "wax like" substances

What Are the Effects?

Marijuana can produce euphoric effects that may alter the perception of one's surroundings. Dizziness, nausea, and extreme exhaustion are commons signs of overdose. Prolonged use can cause lack of drive, depression, short term memory loss and paranoia.
